More than a Crane Training School – New Facility Excites & Educates with Innovative New Space
As an industry leading crane training school, the Konecranes Training Institute decided it was time – Time to innovate, excite and elevate crane training to the next level.
Every year, Konecranes teaches 35 different courses and trains more than 10,000 crane professionals.
To remain a dominant force in the industry, Konecranes Training Institute knew they had to set the stage for the next level of crane training.
The Building
After a 43-year tenure at their former crane training location, Konecranes decided they needed to expand and upgrade to a bigger, more modern facility. While the new facility has been in the works for a couple years now, it’s safe to say it’s finally open for business.
The 13,000 square-foot facility is located in New Berlin, WI – just off Hwy 43.
The campus also includes facilities for the nuclear crane training and modernization groups.
The Classrooms
The new facility includes several modern classrooms – outfitted with crystal clear projectors, touchscreen whiteboards, TVs, comfortable seating and much more.
Since most courses span 3-4 days, the Konecranes Training Institute wanted to make sure their on-site accommodations were comfortable, clean, inviting and easy to navigate.
The Konecranes Training Institute made sure no details were overlooked and no expenses were spared in giving students the ultimate training experience.
The State-of-the-Art Lab!
The facility is home to a 7,500 square-foot crane training laboratory. The new (“crane training playground”) area includes various spaces & equipment, each dedicated to specific training needs.
The lab has 50% more space and a 30% higher ceiling than the previous lab – giving students much more room to experience real hands-on training as it should be.
The lab also includes a 5-ton top-running, double-girder Smart CXT crane with all of the Konecranes Smart Features, which are designed for utmost safety & productivity.
This indoor, state-of-the-art laboratory provides the ultimate hands-on experience for students to test, experiment and learn.
